- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
How to make Catalan Chickpeas:
1 Soak the chickpeas the night before. The next day, cook the chickpeas in a pot with water over high heat for approximately 1 hour and a half. On the other hand, chop the onion very fine and poach it with the hot olive oil.
Tip: if you have a pressure cooker, you can cook the chickpeas in 30 minutes.
2 When the onion is golden, add the crushed tomato. Let everything fry and concentrate for 10 more minutes. Next, add a tablespoon of flour, mix well to integrate and let it cook for 4 or 5 minutes.
