If you want to take care of your diet, this light tuna bagel recipe is perfect for your menu of the day. It is a tuna sandwich without mayonnaise, which is made with a series of light ingredients that together offer an exquisite flavor.

Stay and learn how to make this sandwich with bagel bread, an invention that has served to complete the diet to lose weight without neglecting good food. You will see how with the ingredients you have at home you can make a wonderful dish and, as in almost all my recipes, you can modify the flavors to your liking, adding or removing some of the extras.

Ingredients to make light tuna bagel:

  • 1 bagel bread
  • 1 tablespoon light cream cheese
  • 1 handful of stuffed olives
  • 1 can of natural tuna
  • 1 handful of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 handful of Canons or Lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon of mango chutney
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper

How to make light tuna bagel:

Ready to cook this light tuna sandwich recipe? Well, then gather all the ingredients in the work table. As always, you can substitute what you want or add extra ingredients like red onion, for example.

Mango chutney is a spicy jam, with a slightly spicy flavor, typical of India. If you want to make it yourself, you can follow the mango chutney recipe step by step. To start, spread one of the bread slices with enough cream cheese, don’t be shy and add enough to cover the surface of the bagel completely. Now add the mango sauce. Spread some chutney right on top of the cream cheese.

If you prefer, you can make a separate mixture of cream cheese and chutney and spread this directly on the bread, the flavor will be the same but everything will be more integrated. Then add the vegetables, place a bed of lamb’s lettuce and then the cherry tomatoes cut in half.

Remember that you can replace the lamb’s lettuce with other green leaves such as lettuce, arugula or watercress. Drain the can of tuna well and place a layer of it on top of the tomatoes. Then season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Remember that since it is a light sandwich we are using light tuna in water, but if you prefer you can use others such as in olive oil. To finish, cut the olives into slices and assemble the last layer of the tuna bagel.

So far I have prepared it myself, but the truth is that you can add more ingredients to this light sandwich, such as red onion or sweet corn kernels, the combination will be exquisite. Enjoy bites of this delicious light tuna bagel for dinner or if you prefer, serve it as a light meal for lunch.
