Chickpea and Carob Burger Recipe

Ingredients to make Chickpea and Carob Burger:

  • 300 grams of cooked chickpeas
  • 2 tablespoons coarsely ground peanuts
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley stems
  • 1 tablespoon of carob flour
  • 1 tablespoon of barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of common flour
  • ½ can of beer
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper

How to make Chickpea and Carob Burger:

1 The first step to prepare these delicious vegan burgers will be to grind the chickpeas, you can use the blender or any kitchen robot you have at home.

2 Place the chickpea dough in a large bowl and mix with all the ingredients (except the beer and salt and pepper). Knead until everything is evenly integrated. Reserve and let stand for about 10 minutes.

3 After this time, recover the dough from the chickpea burgers and add the beer little by little.

4 Knead and correct the amounts of beer or flour until you get consistent and compact dough, easy to handle. At this point add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.

5 Heat a frying pan with a few drops of oil and cook the burgers on both sides. Check that they are done by scratching the surface that should be dry.

6 Serve the chickpea and carob burger accompanied by a fresh salad and some cucumber tzatsiki sauce or Indian rather.
