Ingredients to make Cecina and Goat Cheese Empanada:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 4 slices of Cecina
  • 250 grams of caramelized peppers
  • 1 roll of goat cheese

How to make Cecina and Goat Cheese Empanada:

To make the cecina and goat cheese empanada, the puff pastry is prepared or bought ready-made, whichever suits us best. In any case, take a sheet of puff pastry and spread it out on the work table. To fill the empanada, spread the 250 grams of caramelized  peppers and the sliced goat cheese on the dough. On them, we place four or five slices of cecina well distributed, covering the cheese and peppers.

Tip: Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

We cover the stuffing with peppers and cecina with another sheet of puff pastry and close the empanada sealing the edges with our hands or a fork. Then, we paint the entire empanada with beaten egg to give it a touch of shine. Bake the cecina and goat cheese empanada for 20 minutes, or until we see that it is golden. We remove it, let it cool and serve it.
