  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 slices of cereal bread

How to make light caprese sandwich:

We gather all the ingredients to make the light caprese sandwich. We turn on the oven with the gratin option and put the slices of bread on silver paper. Drizzle the bread with a little olive oil on each slice. Cut the tomato and mozzarella into thin slices, as seen in the photo.  For this dish you can use salad tomato or pear tomato. Place the tomato and mozzarella on one of the slices of bread. We put a little salt in the tomato and mozzarella. We put the light caprese sandwich in the oven until the mozzarella melts and the bread is toasted. Once out of the oven, place some fresh basil leaves on the mozzarella and close the sandwich. As you will see, this light caprese sandwich is not difficult, it uses fresh and natural ingredients and it hardly has any fat.
