Baked Mushrooms with Garlic and Parsley Recipe

The baked mushrooms with garlic and parsley recipe is ideal to serve during dinner time, since this type of mushroom is mostly made up of water and, therefore, it is not a heavy meal. Likewise, by cooking the dish including only garlic, parsley and a splash of olive oil, we ensure a healthy and delicious dinner.

Ingredients to make Baked Mushrooms with Garlic and Parsley:

  • 6 mushrooms
  • 1 jet of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of chopped parsley
  • 1 clove garlic

How to make Parsley Garlic Baked Mushrooms:

Wash the mushrooms thoroughly to remove any remaining dirt and carefully remove the stems. To remove them it is not necessary to exert force, just move it sideways to break the base and pull. Once this is done, take a baking tray, add a splash of oil and place the mushrooms along with the stems on top, this way we will prevent them from sticking.

Apart, we preheat the oven to 180 ºC, with heat up and down and, if we have it, the fan function.

To continue with the preparation of the baked mushrooms with garlic and parsley, peel the garlic clove and chop it finely. If we prefer, we can also use garlic powder. Then, we stuff each mushroom with a little minced garlic and ground parsley to taste. When we have all the holes ready, we sprinkle again on top so that the mushrooms are well spaced.

To make the recipe healthier, we have not added salt, although if you like it and want to add it, we recommend doing it when serving the baked mushrooms.

If you are wondering how long it takes to cook the mushrooms in the oven, we can tell you that they usually range between 20-30 minutes, since the final time will depend on the power of your oven. If you activate the fan function, they will take less time to cook.  Likewise, we recommend placing the tray right in the center of the oven. When they are golden and acquire a rather dark tone, like the one shown in the photograph, we can remove them from the oven. To serve the light baked mushrooms with garlic and parsley, we have sprayed them with a little more oil, but this is optional, since you could also accompany them with a small avocado salad, for example. And if you are one of those people who cannot taste a bite without a pinch of salt, remember that now is the time to add it.
