Ingredients to make Zucchini Spaghetti with Tuna:
- 3 courgettes
- 200 grams of natural crushed tomato or chopped
- 2 cans of tuna (small)
- 1 onion
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 splash of olive oil
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 dessert spoon of oregano
How to make Zucchini Spaghetti with Tuna:
Wash the courgettes. To make spaghetti it is preferable that they be thin. Remove the ends and peel them leaving some skin if you like, we do not recommend all of it because it is less flexible and will not look as good.
With the machine or with a knife, cut very thin strips to form the courgette spaghetti. Remember that you can make wider strips with the potato peeler and then cut them thinner with a knife.
Heat a splash of oil in a frying pan, add the zucchini spaghetti, sauté them and let them cook for a few minutes or as long as you consider so that they are to your liking. Do not add salt yet because then the spaghetti will release water and the recipe for zucchini spaghetti with tuna will be a bit watery. When they take a little color then you can salt them.
Tip: They can also be cooked in plenty of boiling water for 2 minutes, removed and drained.
Remove the spaghetti when they are done and, in the same pan, add a little more oil and fry the chopped onion until it takes on a little color, preferably over medium heat.
Add the tomato sauce to the onion, a little pepper, salt and oregano. You can also chop or mash two tomatoes to make the tuna zucchini spaghetti recipe even lighter.
Drain the tuna from the oil and add it to the pan when the tomato is cooked. Saute everything together, taste salt and pepper and rectify if necessary.
Add the spaghetti and let it all cook together for a few minutes, enough for the flavors to integrate and the spaghetti to heat up.
