• 100 g of strong flour
• 100 ml of milk
• 1g dry yeast
For the mass
• The ferment
• 30 ml of milk
• 1 egg
• 150g of flour
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• 20g sugar
• 20g of butter
• 2g dry yeast
• Frankfurt, egg to paint and sesame
How to make Sausage Flowers:
We prepare the ferment the day before making the sausage flowers, let the rise start and store it in the fridge.
The next day we put everything in the pan of the bread maker or in a bowl to do it by hand and knead it all. Once the dough ingredients are integrated, we pause for 30 minutes. We let the kneading and rising program of the dough finish to be able to make the sausage flowers. We put the dough on the work table and take out four portions, knead them again and let them rest for 10 more minutes.
Now we will be taking each portion to extend them with the roller, giving a rectangular shape, place a Frankfurt or sausage and roll up. Once the sausage is bundled, we seal the edges well and make some cuts to cut the roll into slices but without reaching the bottom.
We are entangling the cuts as we can in the shape of a flower, always putting the sausage upwards, as shown in the image. Let the sausage flowers rise and, once risen, paint with egg and sprinkle with sesame. Bake at 240 degrees with heat up and down for 15 minutes, or until we see that the preparation is golden. And the recipe for sausage flowers is ready! We can serve them with a sauce of your choice, such as barbecue sauce or yogurt sauce.
