FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

Many times the packages are half left (at least for me) and you don’t know what to do with the sliced bread to spend it before it expires. Well, with very little you can prepare these sliced bread rolls with York ham that I propose in this article, for an impromptu dinner or snack. These canapés with rolled sliced bread are made very quickly and the result is great. In addition, the filling is left to your imagination, a guaranteed triumph.

Ingredients to make sliced bread rolls with York ham:

• 8 slices of York ham (about 250 grams)

• 100 grams of butter at room temperature

• 10 milliliters of French mustard

• 8 slices of bimbo bread without crust

• 1 lettuce

How to make sliced bread rolls with York ham:

We put a plate to heat. Put the butter in a bowl, add the mustard and beat until you get a paste. Spread the slices of bread with two-thirds of the butter and mustard mixture and then place a slice of York ham on each slice, so that we have a 5-millimeter edge of bread (if necessary, trim the ham ).

Cut the slices lengthwise in half and then roll each one up holding it with a toothpick. Heat the rest of the butter and mustard mixture in a saucepan so that it melts well and pass each roll of bimbo bread with ham through it, spreading it on all sides. Put the stuffed bread rolls on the hot griddle for about 4 or 5 minutes, turning them from time to time so that they cook well on all sides.

In a serving dish, cover the bottom with strips of fresh lettuce leaves and place the sliced bread rolls with York ham on top, remove the toothpicks and serve immediately.
