Mozzarella sandwiches recipe

Ingredients to make mozzarella sandwiches:

  • 1 medium mozzarella
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 8 slices of crustless bread
  • Salt
  • Corn or sunflower oil

How to make Mozzarella Bites:

Cut the mozzarella into 4 slices and place them on 4 slices of bread. Put the other slices of bread on top, pressing them slightly so that they adhere well.

Put the flour on a plate and, keeping the mozzarella sandwiches well together, flour only the edges of the bread. Pour a little cold water into the small bowl and dip the floured edges of the sandwiches into it. This will prevent the mozzarella from sticking out during cooking. Beat the egg on a plate with a pinch of salt. Pour the oil into the pan.

Lightly coat the sandwiches with the beaten egg and fry them when the oil is very hot, browning them on both sides. Remove them from the pan and dry them with absorbent paper. Salt them a little more and serve them hot.

Suggestions: It can be done in the microwave.

Serve hot. It keeps 1-2 days in the fridge.
