Pea and Mint Hummus Recipe

FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

Hummus is a traditional Middle Eastern cream but its fame crosses its borders. This cream is traditionally created from chickpea puree and other ingredients such as: lemon, tahini, olive oil, garlic and some spices. However, there are variants that can be prepared with other legumes and some additional ingredients. For this reason, we bring you an unamicable version due to its freshness, originality and, above all, very tasty flavor: pea and mint hummus. I invite you to try this exotic, refreshing and simple recipe, which I assure you will be one of your favorites.

Ingredients to make Pea and Mint Hummus:

• 2 cups fresh, frozen or canned peas

• 1 small garlic clove

• 3 tablespoons of lemon juice (equivalent to a lemon)

• 1 tablespoon cumin powder

• 1 tablespoon fresh coriander

• 4 mint leaves

• 1 pinch of salt

How to make Pea and Mint Hummus:

Pour all the ingredients into a bowl or bowl, that is, the peas, the mint, the coriander, the garlic, the cumin, the lemon juice and the salt. If the pea is fresh, cook it boiled for two minutes. In this case I used canned peas. Blend all the ingredients very well, until you achieve a homogeneous mixture. You can add a little water if you prefer a lighter consistency.

1 and 2! Two step and taste! This pea and mint hummus is refreshing, original and very tasty, everyone will want to repeat. Plus, it takes just 10 minutes to prepare! You can serve it with slices of toasted bread or prepare other variants and present different hummus, such as eggplant hummus.
