Baked Beer Empanadas Recipe

Ingredients to make Baked Beer Empanadas:

  • 250 g vegetable shortening
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 pcs egg
  • 1 kg all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp. royal
  • 1 can of beer (preferably dark)
  • Jam
  • Icing sugar or normal sugar with cinnamon

How to make Baked Beer Empanadas:

Beat the butter with the butter until creamy, add the sugar little by little (sifted) continue beating until the sugar lumps crumble a little, add the eggs, the flour and the royal (sifted), add the beer in small trickles until it is very well kneaded, that it is not sticky, circles are cut the size you want, put jam in the middle (just a little bit more because they can be opened when cooking them) fold and prick with a fork in the middle. They are baked at 240° until they brown a little, take them out and so hot, roll them in the icing sugar or cinnamon sugar.
