Ingredients to make piquillo peppers stuffed with cod and prawns:

  • 1 jar of piquillo peppers (12 units)
  • 250 grams of desalted cod
  • 200 grams of peeled prawns
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 handful of chopped parsley
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 30 grams of flour
  • 500 milliliters of milk
  • 200 milliliters of cream or milk cream
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 20 grams of grated cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

How to make piquillo peppers stuffed with cod and prawns:

To start with the recipe for piquillo peppers stuffed with cod and prawns, you must first start cleaning the desalted cod of bones and skins. Next, peel the prawns and cut them into pieces.

Tip: you can use frozen prawns.

Place a pan with a splash of olive oil and, when hot, add the chopped garlic, prawns and chopped cod. When it is sautéed, add the chopped parsley and the flour. Stir and mix.

Add the milk little by little until a dough similar to those of the croquettes is formed. Salt test and rectify. You can also make peppers stuffed with cod and bechamel with onion.

Once you have the mixture ready, place it on a tray and let it cool. Then add in the fridge for a couple of hours.

When the dough is cold, remove the piquillo peppers stuffed with cod and prawns and reserve part of their liquid. Next, with the help of a spoon, fill the peppers with the cod and prawn mixture.

While you stuff the piquillo peppers stuffed with prawns and cod, place them on a baking tray.

In this step, prepare the sauce for the piquillo peppers. To do this, pour the cream into a saucepan and heat it. Add a little salt and pepper. Next, also add a little water from the peppers and mix.
