Puff pastry recipe with tomatoes and cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 30g butter
  • 100 g Gruyere cheese
  • 100 g emmental cheese
  • 100g edam cheese
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation:

Flour a smooth surface, roll out the dough until you get a rectangle 18×28 cm and 3 mm thick. Line a tray with baking paper, place the puff pastry on top and set aside. Wash the tomatoes, cut them in half, season with salt, pepper and sugar. Grate the different kinds of cheese and reserve in a container. Peel and julienne the onions.

Heat a frying pan with 30 g of butter and add the onion, season with salt and pepper and when it begins to brown, remove from the heat. Pour the onion over the puff pastry band, leaving a 3 cm perimeter, add the different kinds of cheese with the tomatoes on top, sprinkled with oregano and bake for 30 minutes at 200 °C.
