Ingredients to make Kiwi Caipirinha:
- 150 milliliters of cachaça
- 2 limes or green lemons
- 2 kiwis
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 handful of crushed ice
- 1 handful of mint leaves
How to make Kiwi Caipirinha:
- Peel the kiwi and cut it into thin slices or smaller pieces. Separately, wash the limes and cut them into quarters, removing the white part from the center.
- Tip: Make sure to use ripe fruit, otherwise the kiwi caipirnha will not have the expected flavor.
- Divide the kiwis and limes into three glasses, add the sugar and crush with a mortar. The traditional caipirinha is made with white sugar, however, if you prefer you can use brown sugar.
- Add 50 ml of liquor to each glass, the mint and the ice. Mix well, taste and serve. The mint is optional, but it gives the kiwi caipirinha recipe an incredible kick of flavor. If you can’t find cachaça you can use any other type of rum you have at home. And if you want to discover other exotic cocktails, don’t miss the classic pina colada or the popular homemade mojito.
