- 15 grams of fresh basil
- 500 milliliters of extra virgin olive oil
How to make homemade basil oil:
Wash your bunch of basil, as it must be clean and fresh. Dry it very well so that it does not damage the sauce.
Tip: We recommend that you use a good quality oil for this preparation, you will get better results.
Put the oil in the grinder, as well as the leaves and the most tender branches of the basil. You can prepare the amount to your liking and make the oil more or less thick.
Blend until you see that the leaves are chopped and emulsified with the oil. If you want to vary the texture, you can add more basil but without crushing too much.
Once you have it ready, store it in a glass jar and close it hermetically. Basil oil lasts 1 month in the fridge.
