If you don’t know how to make cod dumplings, check out this easy recipe that Marques has shared f on this occasion. You will see that the steps are very simple and it takes little time to prepare. In addition, we are also going to prepare the dough for homemade empanadas so they are much healthier than the ones you can buy already made. And they can be fried or baked (less calories) so you decide.
Ingredients to make cod dumplings:
• 350g of flour
• 200 g of cod
• 40 ml of oil
• 25 grams of yeast
• 1 teaspoon of sugar
• 2 teaspoons of salt
• 1 glass of warm milk
• 1 egg
• 2 teaspoons paprika
• Oil for frying
How to make cod dumplings:
Start by preparing the dough for the homemade cod empanadas. Put the glass of milk, oil, yeast, sugar and 1 egg in a bowl. Now add the flour and salt and knead until you get a homogeneous dough.
Tip: Depending on the flour used, the dough may need more or less flour.
Let the dough for the homemade cod dumplings rest in the fridge for 1/2 hour. In a frying pan we put oil to fry and put in it the onion cut in julienne. When you have the golden chopped onion add the cod. Now put the paprika and reserve the saragallada (or zaragallada = filling for empanadas) that we have prepared. Now take portions of dough and stretch it out with the rolling pin, go filling and closing the homemade dumplings, and bake or fry them, in this case I decided to fry them.
Tip: You can also make a single large cod patty if you prefer instead of several smaller ones.
Serve the easy-to-make cod dumplings freshly made as an appetizer, entree or main dish.
