This sweet and sour cabbage and carrot salad is inspired by German and Central European cuisine. It is very easy to prepare and is tasty and very appetizing. Learn how to prepare it with these simple steps.

Ingredients to make Sweet and Sour Cabbage and Carrot Salad:

  • ½ unit of cabbage
  • 3 units of Carrot
  • 1 radish unit
  • 1 lemon unit
  • 400 grams of Mayonnaise
  • 80 grams of honey
  • 100 grams of Mustard
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper

How to make Sweet and Sour Cabbage and Carrot Salad:

Here we have the ingredients for this sweet and sour salad, based on cabbage, carrot and radish. The dressing is prepared with lemon juice, mustard, mayonnaise and honey. We wash the vegetables and prepare them for the German vegetable salad: julienne the cabbage, peels and grates the carrot, and does the same with the radish. Mix them all together in a bowl. Next we are adding the ingredients of the sweet and sour dressing. First we season to taste, then we add the lemon juice and honey, to now add the mustard and mayonnaise. You have to stir well so that the sauce is evenly distributed in this German salad. We can serve it immediately, but I advise you to cover it with plastic wrap and leave it in the fridge for about 20 minutes. Serve the cabbage and carrot salad very cold.
