Today we are going to prepare a delicious salad with natural pineapple that has no waste, it is very easy to make and without rare or difficult to find ingredients.
The thing is that I didn’t feel like cooking and it was very hot, so I needed something fresh and that wouldn’t involve spending a lot of time in the kitchen, so a salad was the first thing that came to mind. Checking what I had in the fridge, I was left with a piece of pineapple and some crab sticks, but since I had already tried a tropical pineapple salad last summer, it occurred to me to add some green, then came the idea of the green salad with pineapple and supreme .
Let’s go then with the explanation step by step and I hope you can enjoy this salad with pineapple and crab sticks as much as I do, you’ll see how it solves lunch very well and everyone is happy.
Ingredients to make Salad with pineapple and crab sticks:
- 100 grams of lettuce mix
- 1 piece of natural pineapple
- 4 sticks of crab sticks or Squirmy
- 1 tablespoon of Mayonnaise
- ½ tablespoon of tomato sauce or ketchup
- 1 pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 handful of mixed nuts for salads
How to make Salad with pineapple and crab sticks:
For this green salad with pineapple we will start with the green, so chop the lettuce with your hands and place it in a large bowl. The muscling that I have used comes with escarole, red lettuce and lamb’s lettuce, but this mixture is not essential, so use what you have at home. On the other hand, we chop the pineapple into small pieces, for one person a quarter of a normal size pineapple will be enough. Try to reserve some of the juice that comes out when you peel and chop the pineapple.
And if you can’t get natural pineapple seasonally, you can also use canned pineapple. To make the dressing, mix the mayonnaise with the tomato sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste, also add a little pineapple juice (natural or from a bottle) to the pink sauce to reduce it and give it a special tropical taste. Next, chop the crab sticks to roughly the same size as the chunk pineapples and add everything to the bowl with the lettuce along with the sauce. Stir until well mixed, making everything evenly distributed and impregnated with the sauce.
To finish, add the mix of nuts to the salad with natural pineapple and mix again. This will give it a crunchy touch, although if you prefer you can add homemade croutons or simply omit this ingredient.
The sunflower seed miss that I have used includes pumpkin seeds, raisins, cashews and other nuts that are ideal for this type of salad. Serve yourself a good plate of salad with pineapple and crab sticks and enjoys a fresh and light meal, you will see that the mixture has an exquisite taste on the palate. Bon Appetite!
