Ingredients to make Cream of crabs with Thermomix:
- 500 grams of crabs
- 750 milliliters of water
- 200 grams of chopped onion
- 150 grams of Leek
- 1 unit of Carrot
- 30 milliliters of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 100 grams of butter
- 1 tablespoon of Tomato concentrate
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 120 milliliters of Brandy
How to make cream of crabs with Thermomix:
- Once you have listed all the ingredients, the first step will be to work the crabs. Remove the shell of the crustacean and cut them in half. Place everything in the Thermomix glass and program for 10 seconds at speed 5.
- Next, add 500ml of water to the glass and program the Thermomix again for 1 minute, in varoma mode, with speed 4. After this first minute, repeat the varoma mode but lower the speed to 2 for 14 more minutes.
- Pass the crushed crabs through a calador and reserve the broth separately. Clean the glass of the Thermomix very well.
- Chop the onion, leek and carrot and add them to the already clean glass together with the oil. We program the Thermomix 4sec / Vel4. When this process is finished, add salt and butter and program again in varoma mode for 6min / Vel1.
- Next, incorporate the flour around the blades of the glass. Keep the varoma mode and program the Thermomix for 2min / Vel1. Then it will be the turn of the tomato and the brandy, in varoma mode for 7min / Vel1.
- Tip: Remember to remove the beaker from the mouth of the glass so that the alcohol evaporates without problems.
- To finish with the cream of crabs, add the reserved broth to the glass and program first 15 sec / Vel5. After these first seconds, program the Thermomix at 100º temperature for 7min/ Vel3.
- Let the cream rest for a few minutes to lower the temperature a bit and then program for 1 min / Progressive speed 5-10. Then add the rest of the water and program for 4min / 100º / Vel1.
