Ingredients to make Stewed Beans in Red Wine:
- 200g red kidney beans
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves
- 250 gr. of shank meat
- 20 grams of butter
- 15 gr. Of flour
- 250 ml of red wine
- 1 glass of water
- Salt
- pepper to taste
How to make Red Wine Stewed Beans:
- Soak the beans the night before.
- Peel the onion and thread the cloves and cut the meat into cubes. In a saucepan, toast the flour in the butter as if we were going to make a béchamel sauce.
- Add the meat to the mixture of flour and butter, the red wine and 1 glass of water. Add the onion with the two cloves, season with salt and pepper and leave to cook for half an hour.
- When the sauce is thick, add the previously washed beans and cover with clean water and let cook for 2 hours.
- In this recipe, if we make it in a pressure cooker, ½ hour of cooking the beans is more than enough. Let rest and serve immediately.
