No pales salad with grapefruit recipe

They say that there is nothing more Mexican than the opal and the truth is that this edible cactus is the star of many typical dishes of Mexican cuisine. Well, this time we are going to prepare a delicious fresh salad with fruit and yes, its main ingredient will be spectacular cooked no pales.

To the no pales salad with grapefruit we will also add a touch of radish and we will dress it with a chopped vegetable and cilantro that will make you irresistible.

Ingredients to make no pales salad with grapefruit:

  • 6 no pales
  • ½ red onion
  • 2 chambray onions
  • 1 bunch of coriander
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 splash of Vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 orange (zest)
  • ½ teaspoon of muscovite sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of oregano
  • 1 Grapefruit or Grapefruit
  • 1 radish

How to make No pales Salad with Grapefruit:

We start by chopping all the vegetables finely. When we have it, place the oregano in a bowl together with the purple onion and the garlic cloves. Add the sugar, vinegar and olive oil in the same bowl.

We continue with the orange zest, trying to add only the colored part since if we grate the white part, we will give a very bitter taste to the vinaigrette of our no pales salad. To finish the vinaigrette, we season to taste, stir everything well and reserve.

On the other hand we are going to cook the no pales. To do this, put the no pales in a saucepan, previously washed and chopped, with salt, garlic and a piece of onion. Let cook over medium heat for a few minutes. After this time, drain the no pales and rinse with plenty of cold water. We chop the chambray onions and the coriander, already washed and disinfected

Now that we have almost everything, we transfer these last ingredients to a bowl and mix it with the vinaigrette that we had reserved. We stir everything very well, checking that the flavors are distributed evenly and all the salad is well seasoned.

To finish, we peel the grapefruit and cut it into segments, while the radish is cut into very thin slices. When you finish, you will be able to assemble the no pales salad with grapefruit as seen in the photo and enjoy!
