Those of us who are away from home all day for work know that when we get home it is difficult to get into the kitchen to prepare dinner and we end up falling for quick and unhealthy dinners, or the temptation of precooked food or food with delivery at home
We want to avoid these situations and that is why on this occasion I am sharing the recipe for my lettuce salad with pickles, so that we learn how to prepare a salad in less than ten minutes with a great contrast of flavors, thanks to the pickles and the nuts, very complete and full of healthy nutrients! Ingredients to make Lettuce Salad with Pickles:
- 1 romaine lettuce
- 1 handful of sultanas
- 1 Burgos cheese (can be light or fat-free)
- 200 grams of cooked turkey breast
- 10 whole meal bread sticks
- 90 grams of red onions in vinegar (you can put them white)
- 90 grams of Pickles in vinegar
- 1 handful of seeds for salad
- 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Lettuce Salad with Pickles:
We start by cutting the lettuce, we wash it to remove any possible remains of earth that it may have, we centrifuge and reserve. If we don’t have a lettuce spinner, we leave it in a colander. Drain the Burgos cheese and cut it into cubes. We booked.
Drain the pickles and cut them into small pieces. We put them in a salad bowl along with the drained pickled red onions.
Cut the turkey breast into cubes and add it to the salad bowl. Add a handful of raisins and another of salad seeds and also the drained lettuce. Season with olive oil and a little salt, and stir the salad with pickles well.
Tip: Do not go overboard with the salt that the pickles already have enough. If you feel like it, you can also put a splash of vinegar, but for me it is enough with the one that the pickles release.
Finally, we chop the breadcrumbs and add them together with the Burgos cheese in pieces. Mix lightly, being careful not to destroy the cheese, and that’s it!
If you want to complete the lettuce salad with pickles you can separately prepare a Serrano ham and cured cheese sandwich or a loin sandwich with salt.
