Ingredients to make Corn Cream:
- 1 medium finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons of Butter
- 3 tablespoons of wheat flour
- ¾ cup of milk (180 milliliters)
- ¼ cup creamy soft cheese
- 1¼ cups chicken broth
- 1 can of sweet corn
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of ground black pepper
- ¾ cup of heavy cream (150 milliliters)
- 100 grams of cooked chicken
How to make creamed corn:
- Fry the onion over low heat for 2 minutes. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, mix with the cheese, stirring it, little by little add the broth and milk and beat until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.
- Add the corn, salt and pepper to taste and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Add the cream and, stirring gently, heat.
- Pour into individual plates, sprinkle each serving with chopped ham or chicken, previously heated.
- Serve accompanied by hot, golden bread.
